FortisBC (Gas Operations)

With more than 931,000 customers in 125 communities, FortisBC provides service to 95 per cent of BC's natural gas customers and is one of the largest natural gas utilities in Canada. FortisBC operates three gas utility assets: FortisBC Energy Inc. serving most of mainland BC from Vancouver east to the Kootenays and north to communities including Mackenzie, Chetwynd and Fort Nelson; FortisBC Energy (Vancouver Island) Inc. serving Vancouver Island, Powell River and the Sunshine Coast and FortisBC (Whistler) Inc. serving the Resort Municipality of Whistler.

IBEW 213 represents approximately 535 workers employed by FortisBC (Gas Operations). These employees construct and maintain the gas distribution systems and provide customer service.
