Engage Canada

Greetings,
Critical infrastructure is at a tipping point across the country and the general election is around the corner. We know from past efforts that when we mobilize, we can affect change. This is one of those times.

Premiers, mayors and leaders from across the country have sounded the alarm. The federal government once funded 33% of infrastructure projects. Today, it’s down to 13%. The infrastructure deficit has reached unprecedented levels at roughly $172 billion.

In the meantime, the Harper Conservatives refuse to see infrastructure as any of the federal government’s responsibility. They talk about economic growth without recognizing the key role infrastructure plays in achieving it.

The IBEW is a major partner to Engage Canada, a non-partisan organization that is fighting to change Ottawa. Engage Canada has undertaken a significant national ad buy across television, radio and digital platforms. They also have a suite of digital shareables - and I am passing them on to you.

Please watch the videos, share them and the graphics with your friends, family and networks.
