The EJTC is excited to bring a NEW certification course to members in the Okanagan – the National Advanced Lighting Controls Training Program (NALCTP) and Okanagan College is the first postsecondary school to offer this NALCTP course.
Why will this new certification be so valuable to our industry?
We know that demand for detailed knowledge of advanced lighting controls is increasing and many of BC’s building codes already require the installation of lighting controls in new construction. With proper installation, advanced lighting controls improve energy efficiency in commercial facilities and save significant dollars.
The NALCTP Program trains and certifies Red Seal Electricians in the proper programming, testing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of advanced lighting control systems in commercial and industrial facilities. It is important to have our members certified to perform this work and to ensure the highest standard in this field.
