To encourage other women members to become more active in our union, Local 213 sponsors a scholarship in Cora Horton’s name. Each year we select a female member who shows desire and potential to help our union and sponsor her to take a course at the CLC Winter School (including lost time, if necessary) to increase her knowledge and understanding about the union movement. The CLC Winter School takes place annually over five weeks in January & February. Each session runs for one week, Sunday to Friday.
