A Memorandum of Agreement with Chubb-Edwards (formerly GE Security) was arrived at after two days of mediation at the Labour Relations Board. (LRB) The membership will vote on it on Monday, June 28th. The negotiating committee is recommending acceptance.

   June 29th is set for mediation at the Labour Relations Board with ADT Branch 79.  No further dates are scheduled with ADT Branch 80 until it is clear how ADT intends to merge their newest bought companies, Intercon Security  and Broadview Security. Both companies are non-union and Mike expects a fight at the LRB with this one.

   We finally have a date of August 19th set to start talks with Canadian Marconi.

   At the City of New Westminster talks set for June 24th have been cancelled by the City as they aren’t ready with their monetary proposal. The Union is looking for the soonest date in July.
  
   At the City of Vancouver (EOB) the job descriptions are ready to be taken to the members for a vote on June 30th.

   At the City of Vancouver (Inspectors & Technicians), the Bob Cornwell grievance is now referred to arbitration.
