With more than 931,000 customers in 125 communities, Terasen Gas provides service to 95 per cent of BC's natural gas customers and is one of the largest natural gas utilities in Canada. Terasen Gas operates three assets: Terasen Gas Inc. serving most of mainland BC from Vancouver east to the Kootenays and north to communities including Mackenzie, Chetwynd and Fort Nelson; Terasen Gas (Vancouver Island) Inc. serving Vancouver Island, Powell River and the Sunshine Coast; and Terasen Gas (Whistler) Inc. serving the Resort Municipality of Whistler.
IBEW 213 represents approximately 535 workers employed by Terasen Gas Inc. These employees construct and maintain the gas distribution systems and provide customer service.
