This month we had 32 journeypersons book in and 15 were cleared out to work.
We had 23 apprentices register as unemployed with 9 being sent out to work.
The work picture is slow, however a few contractors have communicated that due to the volume of jobs being bid they expect the work situation to improve in the third and fourth quarter of 2010. IBEW contractors have also been successful bidding work in the Okanagan.
Alberta has slowed to an almost grinding halt. Saskatchewan rotates through all the locals for their calls. Calls from these locals have been very limited.
