Mental Wellness Resources for IBEW 213 Members

We recognize that this is a challenging time for everyone’s mental wellbeing and we want you to know about the mental health resources available. Sisters and Brothers, if you or members of your family feel like you need mental health support at this time, please don’t be afraid to ask for help.

Resources for Members on the IBEW 213 Benefits Plan

Members and their families who are covered by the Local 213 Benefits Plan can access mental health services through Homewood Health Employee & Family Assistance Programs by visiting the Homewood Health website or by calling 1-800-663-1142.

Resources for Members working under the Inside Electrical Workers' Agreement

In addition to the resouces available through Homewood Health, Members working under the Inside Electrical Workers' Agreement can confidentially access health and mental wellness services and counselling through the Construction Industry Rehab Plan. The CIRP offers counselling services that go far beyond their name implies, and they are an excellent resource.

Resources for Members working at FortisBC

All Regular and Temporary employees and eligible dependents of FortisBC are able to confidentially access counselling and referral program through the Morneau Shepell Employee and Family Assistance Program. Members at FortisBC can contact Morneau Shepell directly by phone at 1-844-880-9142 or visit workhealthlife.com.

Resources for Everyone

Members who are covered by your Employer’s benefits plan almost certainly have a similar assistance program to those listed above. Review your benefits package, talk to your shop steward, talk to your Assistant Business Manager, or inquire with your Human Resources department and they should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Mental Wellness services are available to everyone regardless of your employer or your employment status through your provincial health plan. You can access them now by visiting HealthLinkBC.
