EJTC Trainer to Speak at NALCTP

The National Advanced Lighting Controls Training Program (NALCTP) Guest Speaker Series this month features Farid Poursoltani from the Electrical Joint Training Committee (EJTC).

The NALCTP is a multi-jurisdictional initiative aimed at increasing the use of lighting controls in commercial buildings and industrial facilities. This session is an overview of the full program.

The talk takes place Monday, May 14 from 4 – 6:00 PM at the Technical Safety BC offices, 2889 East 12th Ave, Vancouver.

Through proper installation, advanced lighting controls improve energy efficiency in commercial facilities and save significant dollars. NALCTP will educate, train and certify licensed electrical contractors and certified general electricians in the proper programming, testing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of advanced lighting control systems in commercial facilities.

After a successful career in the trades for 10 years that earned him a Red Seal certification in the electrical field, Farid Poursoltani began teaching for the Electrical Joint Training Committee (EJTC) in 2012. He recently completed his second year of Master instructor/trainer program through the IBEW’s National Training Institution (NTI). Farid assists on advance curriculum development for new EJTC courses like Building Automation. In addition to his Red Seal and teaching at the EJTC, Farid is specialized in automation and HVAC controls installation, and is a certified Electrical Vehicle trainer/installer.
