Your Local union is part of a North-America-wide movement of close to 750,000 members working in many diverse workplaces, with a long and proud history. For more than 100 years, we have been at the forefront in the campaign for decent pay, benefits and working conditions.
Local 213 is still growing and improving, building on our Strategic Plan for organizational development and organizing. We have first-class benefits and one of the finest electrical trades training centers in Canada, and we recently created a Partnership and Community Engagement Department to support members in getting more active in the community and strengthen and build new relationships.
We want you to learn more about the union’s operations, challenges and goals at this weekend conference. At the wrap-up dinner, you will have a chance to meet some of our industry and community partners.
Local 213’s vision is to achieve a bright future by building safer, more productive workplaces and communities. None of this can be accomplished without the work of informed and engaged members like you. You will be joined at this conference by sisters and brothers from across the province to compare notes, learn, and set new directions.
